Parking Facilities

Whether you are driving to York or hiring a car when you get here to explore the region, the Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre offers convenient on-site parking facilities so you don't need to worry about finding a space in a public car park. What's more, the hotel is placed conveniently close to the majority of the city's attractions so you can simply park up and walk around the city centre.

The hotel is easily accessible from all major routes, including the A64 and A1/M1. You can leave your car safely in our on-site parking for the duration of your stay (there is a 2-metre height restriction).

The secure car park offers space for up to 60 cars, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Charges are as follows:
0 - 4 hours – GBP 5.00
4 - 9 hours – GBP 8.00
9 - 24 hours – GBP 12.00
Additional days – GBP 12.00

Payment for the car park can be made at the ticket machine in reception by cash, or at reception using cash or card.

Alternative parking is available at the NCP Tanner Row, which is 220 m (3-minute walk) from the hotel. If you are staying overnight and have to use the NCP car park, please ask at the hotel reception desk for a validation ticket, which will reduce the 24-hour rate to GBP 15.

Things to see and do
Whether you are visiting York as part of a stopover on your great British road trip or simply enjoying a city break, take a rest from the wheel and explore some of Britain's most historic attractions such as the Jorvik Viking Centre, York Castle Museum or York Minster. The Shambles are perfect for shopping and strolling the quaint streets. Alternatively, get dressed up and enjoy a day out at York Racecourse. Spend a few days relaxing and exploring this fascinating city before it’s time to hit the road again.

The city of York and all its charms are best discovered on foot, so park your car at a hotel for a small fee and set off. If you don’t fancy being on your feet all day, there are plenty of ways to discover the city's spectacular views. Why not join a boat cruise on the River Ouse, for example.

Discover Yorkshire
If you do have a car with you, then exploring the Yorkshire countryside is a must. Within an hour in any direction, you will discover some of Britain’s most beautiful scenery. Head north towards the North York Moors and Castle Howard, go west to the magnificent Yorkshire Dales or east to the breathtaking English coastline.
