Milton Keynes Bowl

The Milton Keynes Bowl, also known as the National Bowl, is one of England's most iconic music and event venues. This long-established grass amphitheatre is the perfect open-air concert arena. The crescent shaped design and theatre style allow for optimal viewing towards the stage, no matter where you are positioned. This venue is standing only, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes when you come to see your favourite band or artist.

The biggest names in the music industry

The National Bowl started out life as a clay-pit until in the late 70s, when it was redeveloped into the institution it is today. With a crowd capacity of 65,000, this substantial locale hosts some of the biggest names in the business. World-famous musicians have played here and it is a fantastic platform to showcase national and international talent. Some incredible names have taken to the stage over the years, including David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Queen, Metallica, REM, Pearl Jam, The Prodigy and many more.

Reaching the National Bowl

Make your own history at the National Bowl. Book tickets to see your favourite artist or band and at the same time arrange convenient accommodation at the Park Inn by Radisson Bedford. With everything arranged, all you have to do is show up. The National Bowl is located on Watling Street in Milton Keynes. Getting to the concert arena from the hotel takes around 30 minutes by car and around one hour by public transport. More than half of concert-goers travel by car so it is well advised to plan ahead and leave plenty of time so you don't miss the start of the gig. Parking is limited in the area surrounding the venue. Travelling by public transport takes longer but may save time on parking and queues, and it is just a short 2km walk from the station to the amphitheatre.
