Responsible Business hotel in Peterborough
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, and health and safety, as well as environmental improvements. Please read more about the RB programme.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organization recognised by the Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.
The Park Inn Peterborough actively works to reduce the environmental impact of hotel activities as well as to engage the community and staff to create a healthier community. The hotel has created an RB point system to promote staff participation in responsible community and environmental actions. The staff can earn points through various activities, such as blood donation, Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse), the Perkins Great Eastern Run and the NHS stop smoking scheme. Four points earn one extra holiday.
